Removing pet smell from apartment.?

So I moved in to a new apartment and I notice that no matter how clean I keep it, it smells of dog! the previous renters must have had a bunch of pets and I can't seem to get rid of the stench. Luckily, I don't have carpets but I'm still frustrated. any suggestions? The smell is light but still very noticeable.
