Movie involving a Dragon, 2 children, Teleporting? please read and help?

Okay! I have been searching for years for the name of this movie and it's finally getting the point where I will explode. This movie involves a Dragon which seeks out help from two Children, they go through a 'hole' in the wall which teleports them to (I don't know if this is the right word) 'milky way' or 'Free way' I have no idea. They collect orbs or something, to help the Dragon.. Thats all the details I can remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. thankyouu!
