I need help replacing the free float tube on my bushmaster ar15?

i have a bushmaster ar15 that came with a free float aluminum tube from the factory. i want to replace the aluminum tube with a carbon fiber one from a different manufacturer, but i was wondering if i would have to replace the barrel nut the tube screws onto. i want to know if the threads on the carbon fiber tube would be compatible with the barrel nut that came with the aluminum tube.
