What are orbs and why are they in some pictures I snap?

There is no one answer as to what orbs are. Sometimes they are dust particles, pollen, moisture in the air or insects to give the most common causes. However at times they seem to be paranormal in nature, with some investigators claiming that they can discharge with in excess of 50,000 volts, although very low current.
